Liberty is a software package developed internally by NORC for building and hosting Data Collection Systems. It was specifically designed by NORC to support rapid authoring and deployment of web portals containing surveys, questionnaires, data registries, and case management systems.
Key to Liberty's rapid site building approach is that, unlike other solutions, it uses no fixed or pre-defined database schema for data collection. Instead, Liberty uses a Generic Data Model design similar to many Content Management Systems and ERP solutions. So with Liberty, non-technical users can skip the tedious schema-definition step and go straight to authoring the pages and questions in their live, mobile- and desktop-friendly web portal.
